Refugee Support

If you are a refugee, we can help you get a job, find housing and learn English. We work with resettlement agencies and other partners to oversee the resettlement process and help you access needed resources.

Employment services

Our team of refugee specialists, including many with a refugee background, can help you find a job, build your career and make a plan for the future. We can help you search and apply for jobs, write your resume, prepare for interviews and adjust to the culture and requirements at your workplace.

At the Utah Refugee Center you can participate in job fairs where you can meet with employers. You can also attend job skills workshops and training programs that can help you learn important skills and further your career.

Supportive services

We understand that you face many challenges in coming to a new country as a refugee. We can help you access resources for food, housing and more.

Resources include assistance for food, child care, medical care and youth services, help if you are in crisis, housing and navigating health and mental health resources.

Utah Refugee Center

The Utah Refugee Center is a community center where refugees can come for training and education classes. Some of these programs include adult programs like leadership skills, IT and career training, sewing, English and citizenship, financial management and entrepreneurship, community development and senior wellness. We also have youth programs for school age children and college students including leadership and tech classes, mentoring and internships, and college preparation.

Find resources for refugees

We can direct you to resources to help you access higher education and training programs for better paying jobs. This includes employment counseling and training opportunities in medical manufacturing, sewing and self-sufficiency, computer skills and English language learning.

Find employment opportunities

The Utah Refugee Center team can help you access family-sustaining employment. Once you have received the training or education you need, your employment counselor will connect you with the right employment or business opportunities.

Find a Job

We provide support to refugees beyond the initial resettlement period. We want you to achieve a high quality of life, become established in your new community and find fulfilling, self-sustaining employment.
